“It is possible to commit ALL the mistakes and still win…[Part 2]
That is not luck. That is Product-Market Fit.”
Simon Trafford, Star Trek fan
There is nothing that excites me more than when I come across a brand that is not doing a single thing right…
But they’re still making sales SOMEHOW.
Their website is ugly,
Their photos pixellated,
The products don’t have descriptions,
They don’t run ads,
They don’t have email flows set up,
They send 1 email campaign per year that doesn’t have a single working link…
But people still buy their products in droves.
Why does that excite me?
Because these are all of the signals that this brand has achieved Product-Market Fit.
When you have that, 90% of your work is done.
Rarely does it happen the first time around.
As I mentioned in my last email, it takes a lot of iterations.
But once you have this magical golden chalice clutched in your hands,
It’s like you have a super-power.
Every ad you run comes back with a double-digit ROAS,
Once your email flows are set up, they tick away in monthly 5-figures,
Your promotions are explosive…
This does not mean you have to re-invent the iPhone.
You can achieve this if you’re selling jewelry, make-up, skincare, coffee…
Things that we already know people buy.
It means you have to POSITION your offer in such a way that your prospects CAN’T say no.
You need an X-Factor.
You need to be the Purple Cow.
Only then can you slide on your White Gloves and let ‘er rip.
(More on Purple Cows and White Gloves to come… Maybe even Red Napkins).
